STELLAR:  NASA OKSG’s Year-long Mentorship for Preservice Educators

The NASA Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium (OKSG) is sponsoring a year-long mentorship for pre-service educators known as STELLAR (STEM Teachers Experience Linking Learners to Aerospace Research).  Over the course of a year and a variety of opportunities (a 10-day summer institute, VIP to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, STEM in Action Weekend, a Speedfest Weekend, and more), participants are immersed in hands-on STEM-based activities for classroom application (taught by NASA educators, researchers, and scientists), which includes the integration of iPad applications.  Only ten applicants (from each of our eight affiliate universities- OU, OSU, Cameron, Langston, SWOSU, SEOSU, ECU, and SNU) will be accepted to attend!

Please find links to this year’s flyer and the application below.  The application process for STELLAR Class of 2020-2021 will be open from now until 12Noon on Thursday, December 5th, 2019.  If you should have questions or need further information, please contact our Education Coordinator, Dorinda Risenhoover, via e-mail (education@oknasa.org) or phone (405-314-9161).
